The Best Cocktail Bars in India | #TravelTuesday Shoutout

The idea of finding the perfect Manhattan in Mumbai can be daunting for most Jauntistas without JENI. (Hence why we are developing her…) We scoured the web for a travel tweet for the tippler and unanimously agreed this one takes the cup, no Pimms intended.

Our #TravelTuesday pick of the day from Twitter was this great tweet from @NightStayApp – who did a great video roundup we thought was worth a share and shout out.

Waterholes worth a visit in India:

PLING – The Pullman Hotel, Delhi

According to the Pullman Hotel website, the name Pling is associated with frivolity, good times and laughter. It’s a lux-bar that offers tapas style grazing dishes meant to be shared, and a robust wine list with international fine wines available by the glass. Pling is located in the lobby level and is best loved for its cocktail menu that never repeats itself. It’s located near the thriving Aerocity area close to the Indira Gandhi International Airport. Editor’s Note: Be sure and check their Facebook page for live entertainment updates, food promotions and current events — it is constantly being updated.

CARBON –  The Park Hotel Hyderabad

Inside this modern creation by architects Skidmore Owings & Merrill, The Park hotel, you’ll find this eclectic speakeasy that looks straight out of a Star Trekbut one that hasn’t been made yet. It’s one of the most popular haunts in Hyderabad, and offers Ladies Night every Thursdays. Sink deliciously into a corner, order an extraterrestrial martini and count the facets as the ceiling and walls are cut sharper than Rhianna’s Diamond.

TONIC – Hard Rock Cafe (Goa)

Hard Rock Bars are notorious for adapting their blend of music, food and ambience with the country you’ll find them in, and this one does not disappoint. Whilst you can always catch a concert and music video from one of your favourite bands inside the main bar (and Hard Rocks like to feel the noise), the pool bar and chill out area make this Hard Rock worth a trip. Don your Camilla kaftans, a little Luka lipgloss, and order a Bollywood Smash — its a blend of rum and pineapple juice that will whet your whistle!
