When traveling, you should be focused on relaxing, spending time with family and friends, and making memories that will last a lifetime, not be preoccupied with your safety. JOZU’s mission is to help make travel safer and more enjoyable for women by creating a strong community exclusive to women who share stories, give advice, and help each other when traveling both domestically and abroad.
As a world traveling visual journalist, last minute trips are always the case. Connecting with Jozu will forever help shape my travels and connect me to other world travelers with similar interests and passions. On my last trip with Jozu, I ventured off to Jamaica. Each day was a new life changing experience. The people I’ve met, the excursions, the food, the surprise gifts and connections I’ve made locally has been one of the most memorable adventures I’ve ever been on. With traveling being a big part of my life, it sometimes can become overwhelming to plan. Jozu has been a big help. When it comes to traveling, the location and activities set a tone on how the trip plays out, but for me, it’s not just about the location and activities, it’s about the people - The community. Jozu, a powerful brand bringing inspiring, powerful, traveling women together to create a community has made my trip that much more special. What an honour to be part of such an empowering movement. My Negril, Jamaica JOZU itinerary was so thoughtfully chosen that I came home feeling really connected to the place and the people I met. I’ll never forget drinking wine with inspiring local businesswomen, swimming with new friends in turquoise water lit orange by the sunset, and our entire JOZU group dressing in white for dinner. Yet everything was so well organized that I was never rushed, and I felt safe and so cared for throughout my trip. From instructions on the best way to get through customs (in Jamaica, a big smile and the word “miss” go a long way) to a sweet birthday surprise for one of the women in our group, my JOZU experience showed a unique depth—both of knowledge and of feeling.
Jozu for Women I must congratulate you on an innovative new travel product. My recent trip to New Orleans was excellent, the fact you thought of my safety highlighted your knowledge and professionalism. My trip was personalized, streamlined and I actually felt you cared about ME! The portal online also made me feel I was not alone as a solo woman traveler. They have captured the attention of thousands of women by providing an organized and knowledgable portable with the end goal of helping women travel better and safer. They know and understand travel. Most importantly, they understand women who travel.
I used the JOZU platform for the first time and it was an incredible experience, being a single mom and being incredibly busy as a professional woman, there is a need for a platform that helps with safety when I travel and is easy to use. I logged in, created my profile, booked my flights and it was seamless. I will definitely be using JOZU again.
